Employee Voluntary Contribution (EEVC) – Usually deduct from payroll by employer monthly to employer’s choice of MPF scheme. It is not tax-deductible and can be withdrawn upon termination of employment.

Special Voluntary Contribution (SVC) – It is the most flexible among the three types as members are free to choose their own scheme and define their own contribution schedule in terms of frequency and amount according to own’s investment objectives and risk appetite. As it is not tax-deductible, members are free to withdraw anytime when needs arise.

Tax-Deductible Voluntary Contribution (TVC) – It is the only type of voluntary contribution that is tax-deductible. Members are free to select or transfer the balance to their own choice of scheme but cannot withdraw until age 65.
